CHRISTIAN PRO LIFE COUNCIL, HENDERSON ENDORSES BLANCHARD FOR GOVERNOR: “SHE’S THE STRONGEST CANDIDATE AND WILL SERVE ALABAMA BEST”
Montgomery, AL–The head of the Christian Pro Life Council, former Executive Director of the Christian Coalition of Alabama, retired Pastor, and prominent anti-abortion activist Colonel James Henderson has given Lindy Blanchard his unequivocal endorsement in the Alabama Gubernatorial race.
Henderson gave the endorsement on his radio program on 98.5 FM on Friday, February 11th, while interviewing Blanchard on air.
“I’m pleased to endorse Lindy Blanchard for Governor because she is the strongest candidate and will serve Alabama best,” Henderson said. “She’s not only the best candidate for jobs and economic development but she is a proven pro-life, family-oriented candidate, and I strongly support her.
“To see how Lindy and her husband have adopted five kids, that’s so impressive. There’s no question that she’s pro-life and supports family values. As a minister of the Gospel, I have the utmost respect for her.
“As a retired U.S. Army Colonel, I know Lindy Blanchard will have the ability to manage and lead our Alabama National Guard.
“As a Trump delegate in 2016, I know that having been appointed as an Ambassador by him, she has President Trump’s strong support, and mine, too.”
Henderson is well-known across Alabama and nationally for his work to protect the lives of the unborn and advocacy for conservative values. He retired from Northrop Grumman after 24 years, served as the Executive Director for the Christian Coalition of Alabama, retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Army, retired as a minister, and currently advocates against abortion across the State through the Christian Pro Life Council.
Blanchard said of the announcement, “I thank Colonel Henderson for his support and endorsement. He has been on the front line of protecting life and our conservative values throughout his life.”
“I am proud to be a pro-life Christian Conservative. I know that life begins at conception, and we must speak for and protect vulnerable innocent lives” she continued. “My family’s Foundation has been working with orphans and improving the quality of life for families in Alabama and across fifteen countries worldwide since 2004. For the past eighteen years, I have been committed to helping women and children in adverse situations. I am an advocate for adoption over abortion, and I will always fight to protect the sanctity of life.”
Blanchard is on the ballot in the Republican primary, which will be held on May 24th. She is a wife, mother of eight, businesswoman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist from Montgomery. She served as U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia during the Trump administration. She has never held public office before.
